We are delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed author Sir Michael Morpurgo to read from his book of poems Carnival of the Animals with musical interludes by Clare O’Connell.

Sir Michael Morpurgo is one of the UK’s best-loved authors and storytellers. He has written over 150 books, including War Horse which became a National Theatre production and then a film directed by Steven Spielberg.

He was appointed Children’s Laureate in 2003, awarded an OBE in 2007 and a knighthood in 2018 for services to literature and charity.

This performance will be British Sign Language interpreted.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase.

Concert timing: this concert will finish at approximately 4.30pm and runs without an interval.
