A series of participatory music events at venues around Budleigh designed to entrance all generations and encourage families to explore sound together in a musical treasure hunt.

Your £5 ticket to this special event includes entry to five events: four fun and varied workshops across the town, plus a final musical event with Jason Thornton (Artistic Director), as well as the opportunity to complete your Treasure Map and win a prize!

The Five Events are:

Drum Devon – authentic and accessible world roots drum and percussion. This session will be led by James Carr who has over 20 years experience as a percussionist and is a fully qualified teacher.

Ottery Ringers – try your hand at handbell ringing with this popular group who have performed all over our region.

The Beat Goes On – high energy body percussion led by Ollie Tunmer, a former cast member of STOMP who has delivered workshops to thousands of participants across the globe.

The Power of the Gong – experience the deeply relaxing impact of a Gong Bath, led by local therapist Alli Colledge.

The day ends as we come together for a final event “Rhythms Beats and Games” led by Artistic Director Jason Thornton.

All sessions are designed to appeal to all ages – you can take part or just observe as you wish.

Our Treasure Hunt has been organised in collaboration with Shop Budleigh.  You’ll be given a map to collect stamps at various local stores as well as the musical events, and you’ll hand it in to go into the Prize Draw at the final event.
