Graceland Reimagined

The Budleigh Festival 2025 will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience as its finale, with joyous gospel tunes as well as a ground-breaking reimagining of Paul Simon’s iconic Graceland album, performed by the London African Gospel Choir.

Under the artistic direction of leader, Bongani Magubane, Graceland Reimagined will offer a fresh perspective on the album’s unforgettable hits, including You Can Call Me Al, Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes and Homeless. With the choir’s soaring harmonies, dynamic rhythms and vibrant instrumentation, the performance will be a celebration of both Paul Simon’s visionary artistry and the rich musical traditions of Africa that inspired it.

Concert timing: Note the start time of 7pm. This concert will finish at approximately 9.45pm and includes an interval.
