Jason Thornton writes about conducting Elgar
We’re delighted to share an article written by our Artistic Director Jason Thornton, published in Choir and Organ magazine, about his life-long love of Elgar’s music .
In the article Jason looks back on years learning the intricacies of exploring, listening to and conducting the music of Edward Elgar. He shares how his relationship with the composer has developed and shifted and how there is always more to discover.
This perspective will be deeply appreciated by those who take part in our Choral Workshop on June 27 where Jason will rehearse and conduct a rare arrangement of Elgar’s Sea Pictures. And if you are not a singer, why not come along to our Choral Performance at 5pm – tickets cost only £2.50.
