Two funding grants
We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing two funding grants from local cultural organisations.
The first is from the Creative East Devon Fund, managed by ACED (Arts and Culture East Devon). This is to support activities which bring creative culture to all, and particularly to marginalised communities. In our case the funding will contribute to the costs of three activities – our “Music For All” sessions on Saturday 27 June, the Relaxed Concert with the Bellot Ensemble on Wednesday 1 July, and our Community Music programme running every day from Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July. All of these take place during the daytime and are aimed at those who would not usually attend classical music concerts.
The second grant is also managed by ACED and is from the East Devon Festival Fund. This supports cultural activities which attract visitors from outside East Devon. Our funding is for marketing and publicity for the “Seaside Reflections” RNLI Benefit Concert on 25 June. The fund will enable us to invest in a programme to bring people from outside East Devon to the event, the town, and East Devon more widely.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to both funds, to ACED, and to our marvellous team of volunteers who have made this possible.
