Rachel is an award-winning violinist studying at the Royal Northern College of Music with Catherine Yates since September 2019, exploring a range of both popular and lesser-known repertoire. Her communicative performance style led to her winning second place in the RNCM Salon Prize in December 2019, playing Roxanna Panufnik’s Hora Bessarabia, and consequently performing at the annual Strings Festival.
She made her concert debut playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra in 2018, and her recent successes include winning the Two Moors Festival Young Musicians’ Platform and the Mid-Somerset Premier Award.
