Exeter School Chamber Concert
2 July|12:00 pm
Exeter School’s Music Department has a fine reputation, maintaining traditions of classical choral and instrumental music alongside more contemporary pop and jazz styles. More than 500 vocal and instrumental lessons are taught each week, by 27 visiting teachers, with 35 groups, ensembles and choirs to choose from. Currently there are around 25 music scholars. This is their final concert prior to embarking on a summer tour to Italy in July.
This concert includes the Chamber Orchestra playing Mozart and Holst; vocal works as varied as Gjeilo’s ‘Northern Lights’ and ‘Chicago’; plus the Cello Ensemble playing Vivaldi and the Flute Ensemble performing McCartney.
